Instructions for changing the username and password on a USB modem such as a Thomson SpeedTouch or Sagem F@st800 using Windows 2000
1. Click Start and then select Settings and Control Panel.
2. Double-click Network and Dial Up Connections.
3. Locate the TalkTalk Broadband icon.
4. Right-click TalkTalk Broadband and select Disconnect.
5. Double-click TalkTalk Broadband.
6. Enter your TalkTalk username into the User name box and enter your password into the Password box. Type 0,38 inside the Dial box. You don't need to change anything else.
You can find your username and password in your welcome letter. Alternatively you can call our free, automated service at anytime of the day or night on 0870 0875 562. This
service will give you your details so please have a pen and paper to hand.
Note: You must call from your TalkTalk landline.
7. Click Dial to re-connect to the internet.
8. You are now connected to the internet. Open a web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. In the address bar, type www.talktalk.co.uk and press Enter.
You're done! Now that your username and password have been changed you can browse the web and enjoy TalkTalk Broadband. When you want to connect to the internet in future, just double-click the TalkTalk Broadband icon on your desktop.
