USB Modem

Using Mac OSX

Instructions on how to change the username & password with a TalkTalk USB Modem
Thomson Speedtouch or another USB Modem using Mac OSX.

Sagem Thompson Speedtouch Sagem

1. Click the modem icon located in the top right hand corner of the screen next to the system clock.

2. Click Disconnect.

3. Click the modem icon again and then click Open Internet Connect.

4. If not already selected, click Speedtouch USB.

5. The following screen should appear. Enter your own TalkTalk ADSL Username and Password in the relevant boxes, also enter 0,38 for the telephone number. You don’t need to change anything else. Your username and password can be found in your welcome letter, alternatively you can call our free automated service anytime of the day or night on 0870 0875 562. This automated service will give you your correct details so please have a pen and paper to hand. *Please note that you must call from your TalkTalk landline*.

6. Now click Connect.

7. You should now be connected, open your Internet Browser (Safari, Internet Explorer…) and in the Address Bar type www.talktalk.co.uk and press enter.

The TalkTalk website should now be displayed.

You're Done! Now your username and password have been changed you should be able to browse and enjoy TalkTalk Broadband.

Sagem F@st800

1. Click the Apple Icon in the top left hand corner of the screen and select System Preferences.

2. Select Network from within the system preferences window.

3. Select the drop down menu next to show and select Ethernet Adaptor (En1).

4. Select the PPPoE tab and tick the option for Show PPPoE status in Menu Bar. Click Apply Now.

5. We now need to disconnect from the Internet, to do this click the PPPoE status icon in the top right hand corner next to the system clock and select Disconnect (Leave the Network window open as you do this!).

6. Back in the Network window, Enter your own TalkTalk ADSL Username and Password in the relevant boxes.You don’t need to change anything else. 7. Click Apply Now to save the changes.

8. To re-connect to the Internet select the PPPoE status icon in the top right hand corner next to the system clock and select Connect.
