Instructions on how to change the username and password with the TalkTalk
wireless router
on the Netgear DGN2000 using Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista
1. Open your Internet Browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox …) and in the Address Bar type in 192.168.1.1 and press Enter on your keyboard.
Note: If the address bar isn’t visible, right click on your mouse inside the menu, and ensure Address Bar is ticked.

2. You should be prompted with a username and password screen. Enter admin for the username and admin for the password, then click OK.
Note: This is the username and password for your router, rather than your TalkTalk username and password.
3. Click Quick Start on the left-hand side.
5. Enter your TalkTalk username and password into their respective boxes. You will not need to change anything else. Your username and password can be found in your welcome letter. Alternatively, you can call our free, automated service any time of the day or night on 0870 0875 562. This automated service will give you your correct details, so please have a pen and paper to hand.
Note: You must call this number from your TalkTalk landline.
6. Click Connect.
7. A pop-up box will appear. Click OK to continue and save the settings.
8. In the Address bar of your browser, type http://www.talktalk.co.uk/ and press Enter.
9. If your TalkTalk username and password have been entered correctly, the TalkTalk website will be displayed.
You're Done! Now that your username and password have been changed, you should be able to browse and enjoy TalkTalk Broadband.
